We could not be more excited to announce.....
Wildly Goods has joined 1% for the Planet, committing to donate 1% of annual sales to support nonprofit organizations focused on the environment.
“We started Wildly Goods for two reasons. The second reason was to sell really good socks, but the first was to do more good. Wildly Goods is a brand inspired by nature and now through 1% for the Planet, we can give back to it in a more meaningful way. We will be working closely with local charities to plant trees and fund wildlife and envionmental initiatives.”
Christian Collard, founder of Wildly Goods.
Wildly Goods is a brand obsessed with the great outdoors. We love to enjoy all that this planet has to offer. We climb its mountains. We ride its rivers. We sail its oceans. We roll in her hills. We take all that it will give us, but sometimes we take too much.
I don't need to preach about climate change or pollution. We all know we need to do more to take care of this earth. Wildly Good socks will continue to make great products, and now each product we sell will make a true impact. We are thrilled to be able to support these important organizations.
"Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and, only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of member businesses is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on the ground outcomes. We're excited to welcome Wildly Goods to our global movement of over 2,000 businesses," says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.
By contributing 1% of their annual sales, over 2,000 1% for the Planet members from 45 different countries have raised over $225 million to support approved environmental nonprofits around the globe. Nonprofits are approved based on referrals, track records, and environmental focus. Thousands of nonprofits worldwide are currently approved.
More to come.
Thank you for YOUR support!
Christian, Founder, Wildly Goods
